Zamazenta is one of the two mascot legendary Pokémon for Pokémon Sword & Shield, representing Pokémon Shield. It along with its counterpart, Zacian, were both revealed on June 5, 2019.
It bears what appears to be a shield across the front of its body, protecting it from attacks and overwhelming its foes. It was seen fighting Zacian before both Pokémon stopped to notice something in the sky. Its body glows a striking orange color while observing the sky.

The “mane” it appears to possess resembles a shield and it, like its counterpart, is said to have very majestic movements.
Its name is pronounced ZAH-ma-ZEN-ta.
It has a special Crowned form that is available through progression in the game. That raises its stats and changes it to a Fighting/Steel-type Pokémon.
