From now until January 1, 2023 at 3:59pm PST / 6:59pm EST (23:59 UTC), the first 7-star Tera Raid Battle Event featuring the fiery rabbit Cinderace is available to challenge. This Cinderace, like the Charizard that came before it, is very powerful and comes with the special Mightiest Mark, granting it the title Cinderace the Unrivaled.
This Cinderace always has a Fighting Tera Type and you’ll need to have unlocked the ability to challenge 6-star Raids before it will appear in your game, although you can join other players if they’ve unlocked it. It has the moves Pyro Ball, High Jump Kick, Acrobatics, and Iron Head, plus it will use Bulk Up pretty much every turn, including at the start of the battle. This makes it a very strong Physical-based Pokémon and one that will gradually grow stronger throughout the battle, so it’s important to have a good strategy to counter that if you want to succeed.
You can fight Cinderace an unlimited number of times while the event is live, although you can only catch it once. You’ll also get a guaranteed Ability Patch the first time you defeat it, but it also drops other items, including a lot of Exp. Candies L and XL, Protein, and more.
This is the first run of the Cinderace Tera Raid event. It will run again from January 12, 2023 at 4:00pm PST / 7:00pm EST (January 13, 2023 at 00:00 UTC) through January 15, 2023 at 3:59pm PST / 6:59pm EST (23:59 UTC). However, if you’ve already caught it in this event, you won’t be able to catch it again in the second one.
