In today’s Pokémon Presents, an upcoming 7-Star Tera Raid Event against Mewtwo was announced for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. Additionally, to help you in this fight, a limited-time Mystery Gift code giving you a Mew is available starting now, and using Mew in battle against Mewtwo will cause “something special” to happen during the fight.

Mew’s Nature and Tera Type are random, and it starts off at level 5.
Fight Against Mewtwo the Unrivaled in September
The 7-Star Tera Raid Event featuring Mewtwo the Unrivaled lasts from August 31, 2023 at 5:00pm PDT / 8:00pm EDT (September 1 at 00:00 UTC) until September 17, 2023 at 4:59pm PDT / 7:59pm EDT (23:59 UTC). It is a Psychic Tera Type and will undoubtedly be very strong, but if you’re able to defeat it, you’ll be able to catch it afterwards, and it will have the Mightiest Mark, which grants it “the Unrivaled” title when sent out in battle.
You can catch Mewtwo only once per save file, but can battle against it any number of times.
Prepare For Mewtwo With Special Tera Raid Events
To help prepare for the Mewtwo Tera Raid Event, several helpful 5-Star Tera Raid Events will take place leading up to the Mewtwo raids and also during the raids.
Prepare the Offense runs from August 8, 2023 at 5:00pm PDT / 8:00pm EDT (August 9 at 00:00 UTC) through August 17, 2023 at 4:59pm PDT / 7:59pm EDT (23:59 UTC) and features 5-Star Scizor, Blissey, and Hydreigon Tera Raids.
A Show of Supporters runs from August 17, 2023 at 5:00pm PDT / 8:00pm EDT (August 18 at 00:00 UTC) through August 31, 2023 at 4:59pm PDT / 7:59pm EDT (23:59 UTC) and features 5-Star Blissey, Hatterene, and Grimmsnarl Tera Raids.
Both events also run again alongside the Mewtwo event, from August 31, 2023 at 5:00pm PDT / 8:00pm EDT (September 1 at 00:00 UTC) until September 17, 2023 at 4:59pm PDT / 7:59pm EDT (23:59 UTC).
In addition to Pokémon that might be helpful in the fight, they also feature rewards such as Exp. Candies, Tera Shards, and Vitamins.
