A new Pokémon TCG expansion set, Sword & Shield—Lost Origin, has been released today worldwide. It reintroduces the “Lost Zone” mechanic, which is like a second discard pile that is generally inaccessible.

There are also numerous new Pokémon V, VMAX, VSTAR, and Radiant Pokémon included within the set, including some of Hisuian Pokémon such as Hisuian Zoroark VSTAR and Hisuian Goodra VSTAR.

Contained within the set are…

  • 14 Pokémon V
  • 1 Pokémon VMAX
  • 6 Pokémon VSTAR
  • 3 Radiant Pokémon
  • 30 more cards in the Trainer Gallery subset, which feature full-art Trainer + Pokémon combinations that are alternate art versions of existing cards

Standard Elite Trainer Box

The standard edition Elite Trainer Box contains 8 booster packs of Lost Origin, a pack of basic Energy cards, a pack of 65 card sleeves with Origin Forme Giratina on them, damage counter dice, a tournament-legal coin-flip die, acryllic special condition markers and a VSTAR marker, carboard separators for organization, and a Player’s Guide showcasing all of the cards in the set.

Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box

The Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box is exclusive to the Pokémon Center website and costs US$10 more than the standard version, but it also comes with 2 additional booster packs, a coin, and a pin. In total, you get 10 booster packs of Lost Origin, a pack of basic Energy cards, a pack of 65 card sleeves with Origin Forme Giratina on them, damage counter dice, a tournament-legal coin-flip die, a Giratina coin, acryllic special condition markers and a VSTAR marker, carboard separators for organization, and a Player’s Guide showcasing all of the cards in the set.
