Rolycoly is a new Rock-type Coal Pokémon that was first revealed on July 8, 2019. It is a small Pokémon that looks like a pile of rocks and coal, with one ominous red eye to gaze with. It has a new ability, Steam Engine, which drastically raises its Speed when hit by a Fire- or Water-type move.
Rolycoly’s Evolution Line
Rolycoly is the first evolutionary stage in a line of three Pokémon.
It evolves into Carkol at level 18, which is a Rock/Fire-type Pokémon.
After that, Carkol evolves into Rolycoly’s final evolution, Coalossal, at level 34, which is also a Rock/Fire-type.
More Information About Rolycoly
Rolycoly’s red eye can illuminate dark areas and it is capable of rolling around like a wheel across all sorts of terrain by using the lump of coal attached to its body. Rolycoly were used as a heating source for cooking and warmth in Galar’s history, up until about 100 years ago.
