From now until March 19, 2023 at 4:59pm PDT / 7:59pm EDT (23:59 UTC), you’ll be able to challenge another 7-star Tera Raid in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, this time featuring the spooky owl from the Alola region, Decidueye. As with the other 7-star Tera Raid Pokémon, this Decidueye has the Mightiest Mark, which grants it the “Decidueye the Unrivaled” title when sent out in battle.
This Decidueye is always a Flying Tera Type and you need to have first unlocked 6-star Raids before it will appear in your own game, although you can join other players if they have already unlocked it. According to Serebii.net’s coverage, it knows the moves Spirit Shackle, Brave Bird, Low Kick, and Leaf Blade, plus it can also use Swords Dance, Feather Dance, and Air Cutter as special moves in battle.
Defeating this Decidueye grants you the ability to catch it—although you can only catch it once. You’ll also receive a guaranteed Ability Patch and TM164 (Brave Bird) the first time you defeat it. On top of that, every time you battle it, you’ll also get a lot of Exp. Candies L and XL, Protein and Calcium, Flying Tera Shards, and the possibility of more items.
This is the first of two runs of this event—it runs for a second time from March 24, 2023 at 5:00pm PDT / 8:00pm EDT (00:00 UTC) through March 26, 2023 at 4:59pm PDT / 7:59pm EDT (23:59 UTC). Also, keep in mind that, due to it switching to Daylight Saving Time or Summer Time in many locations in the Northern Hemisphere (and moving away from it in many locations in the Southern Hemisphere), this time may be a little different than you’re used to.
UPDATE (Mar. 24, 2023): Corrected the timezone abbreviations to reflect Dayling Saving Time (EST to EDT, etc.).
