In today’s Pokémon Presents broadcast, more information for the upcoming paid DLC for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, has been revealed. This includes the release date for Part 1: The Teal Mask, which releases worldwide on September 13, 2023. (Part 2: The Indigo Disk is still listed as just Winter 2023.)

The above trailer shows off several new gameplay features, new characters, and even some new Pokémon, including Paradox forms of Cobalion and Raikou, along with new evolutions of Applin and Duraludon—Dipplin and Archaludon respectively.

New Pokémon

Dipplin

Official artwork of Dipplin

Dipplin is a new evolution of Applin, available in Kitakami (The Teal Mask), and resembles an Applin dipped in some sort of syrup. It has the new Ability Supersweet Syrup, which lowers the evasion of enemy Pokémon when it is sent out in battle. (It can also have Gluttony for its Ability.)

It also has a new move, Syrup Bomb, which is a Grass-type Special-based move that causes the target’s Speed to lower each turn for the next three turns.

Archaludon

Official artwork of Archaludon

Archaludon is a new evolution of Duraludon, retaining its Steel/Dragon type, but getting either Stamina or Sturdy for its Ability. It also gets access to a new move, Electro Shot, which seems to be like an Electric-type Solar Beam except it can be used in one turn during rainy weather.

Archaludon will be available in Part 2: The Indigo Disk.

Raging Bolt and Iron Crown (Paradox Raikou and Cobalion)

Not much information about these two new Paradox Pokémon have been revealed, but their official artwork along with their names have been.

Raging Bolt is the Paradox form of Raikou while Iron Crown is the Paradox form of Cobalion.
