With the release of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, Part 1: The Teal Mask, the first batch of DLC for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, a lot of you have been making use of the Marriland Pokémon Team Builder tool to help build your Pokémon teams using some of the returning Pokémon!

Of course, over the past few days, the new Pokémon added in The Teal Mask haven’t been available on the Team Builder, but worry no more, because today’s website update adds support for The Teal Mask to the Marriland Team Builder! All of the new Pokémon are available, including their new forms. In fact, even a few Pokémon announced for Part 2: The Indigo Disk, have been added to the Team Builder: Raging Bolt, Iron Leaves, and Archaludon are all available (Terapagos has not yet been added because its type has not been officially revealed as of now!).

I’ll be updating the Marriland website’s EV Training Guides and EV Counters over the coming few days to reflect new methods or changes, but this will require a bit more research on my end first. The IV Calculator should be functional, but I haven’t tested it thoroughly, so apologies if there are any bugs!

Here’s a bit more information on what has changed, what bugs are known, and what is in the works:

Changelog

  • Added support for the new Pokémon and moves added in The Teal Mask.
  • Added preliminary support for Raging Bolt, Iron Leaves, and Archaludon from The Indigo Disk, as their types have been revealed.

Bug Fixes

  • Freeze-Dry now properly is counted as super-effective against Water in Advanced Mode for move type coverage. (Flying Press is not and is probably a bit too tricky to calculate efficiently; maybe someday.)
  • Dewgong with Thick Fat was not showing any resistance in the Defensive Coverage table, but that was actually because it had a massive resistance, so I’ve added that symbol and it should work now. It also has a ▣ symbol when using symbol display mode. (You might need to clear your browser’s cache for it to reload, although it isn’t a huge deal since this is very minute.)

Known Bugs/Issues

  • Move names and Ability names for the new DLC content are only available in English right now, sorry about that! Pokémon and form names should be available in available languages.
  • Team Codes or sharing the URL will not save any Generation IX moves, including any of the new moves. This was actually a bug that was discovered recently with the Team Code system! I’ll try to get this fixed up fairly soon, but this should only be a problem if you are saving teams or sharing them.
  • The icons for reintroduced older Pokémon might still use the icons from Generation VIII or even the ones from all the way back in Generation VII, which look quite tiny by comparison. Eventually I’ll add the newer icons, and in all likelihood I’ll probably revamp all of the icons so they can be consistent and manually crop them, but for now it’s just kind of how it is.
  • If you experience any major bugs or issues, feel free to report them to bugs<@>marriland.com, although please keep emails to that address only bugs/reports, not anything else (it will be ignored).

Credits

  • Kaphotics for providing a detailed listing of the base stats/moves/new data from version 2.0.0 and versions 2.0.1.
  • Bulbapedia for a quick lookup for some of the new moves, as well as providing a helpful reference for all of the international names of Pokémon, moves, abilities, and forms.
