As with most Pokémon games, there are three starter Pokémon for you to pick from at the beginning of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. These first-partner Pokémon are Sprigatito the Grass-type cat Pokémon, Quaxly the Water-type duck Pokémon, and Fuecoco the Fire-type crocodile Pokémon.
You’ll only be able to pick one of them and will need to trade for the other two you didn’t pick.

Don’t look below if you don’t want to have them spoiled for you, but knowing what you’re getting into and having an understanding for their potential is a good way to help make an informed decision on which you want to take with you.
