Keldeo • Generation VIII Pokédex

Scarlet/Violet support is in the works!

Thank you for your interest in having the Marriland Pokédex updated to support Pokémon Scarlet & Violet! This has been something that I've been wanting to update for awhile, and it is my current project to implement support for the new games and The Teal Mask DLC. Thank you for your patience as I work on this over the coming week or two!

Where to Find Keldeo in Sword & Shield

If you're looking for where to find Keldeo, you'll find the various methods listed down below, along with any notes or special locations. This should help you figure out how to get Keldeo in Pokémon Sword & Shield. (Currently this does not show most "strong" static encounters or Max Raid Battles.)

Special Ways to Get Keldeo

After catching Cobalion, Virizion, and Terrakion in the Crown Tundra (DLC), take all three of them with you in your party and go to the small island in Ballimere Lake, then examine the footprint near the cooking pot. Make any kind of curry in Pokémon Camp and then afterwards a stationary Keldeo will appear on the island, allowing you to fight it and capture it. (If it is knocked out or if you run away, it will NOT immediately respawn, but you can set up a Pokémon Camp [might need to make new curry] and exit or reload your game and it will respawn in the same area.) (Only one can be caught per game save.)

Notes About Keldeo

If Keldeo knows the move Secret Sword, it will transform into its Resolute Form.
