Glossary: Grass (Egg Group)

Grass (known in Pokémon Stadium 2 as “Plant”) is an Egg Group in the Pokémon video games. Although a lot of Grass-type Pokémon are part of the Grass Egg Group and vice versa, these are two separate things. It consists of plants, flowery Pokémon, or other nature-themed Pokémon.

Pokémon in the Grass Egg Group are able to breed with other Pokémon in the Grass Egg Group, so long as one is male and one is female, and the resulting Egg will be of the female’s species. Any Pokémon in the Grass Egg Group can breed with Ditto to create an Egg of that Pokémon’s species.

List of Pokémon in the Grass Egg Group

Below is a list of all of the Pokémon that are in the Grass Egg Group as of the most recent Pokémon games. (Keep in mind that, rarely, Pokémon change their Egg Groups across Generations, so this list may not be 100% accurate for older games.)
