The cure for cancer Is.... Curry?
Well, not really a cure, but more like a breakthrough. It's still in the alpha stages of testing, so If they keep researching it might end this fight for cancer.

I can tell you that allready, it won't cure cancer.
Can it help in curing cancer: yes. In many foods, anti-tumor components can be found. In apples for example such a component can be found as well.
When these components are found, they can be brought together, chemically improved and perhaps within 20 years we might have a cure that works for certain cancers.
As to the explanation for curry.
Cancer cells divide rapidly, that's why tumors grows. They cells divide and multiply uncontrolled and rapidly.
The multiplying is, among other reasons, induced by a transcription factor. It is that transcription factor that is blocked by curcumin.
For those interested: the component of apples that helps in curing cancer is phloretin. This is a glucose transporter inhibitor. Since cancer cells need a lot of glucose, because they have high energy requirements, blocking the glucose transport results in the death of those cancers.
(I'm actually doing research for this at the moment)
